This interview was conducted at the HudsonYouth Center in Hudson, NY on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Jeremiah is an8-year-old from Hudson, NY. In his interview, Jeremiah speaks about dog sitting for his godmother’s dog, Coco, and describes Coco as a speedy, playful companion. Jeremiah offers advice for anyone caring for a dog or any pet.Jeremiah also speaks about the Hudson Youth Center and guides the interviewer through a brief tour of the downstairs space, including the different types of games, the computer room, and the staff office.

Jenny Yu

Jennifer Yu is Los Angeles-based Filipina-Chinese American writer, editor, educator, and emerging oral historian interested in how oral history can provide individual and collective restoration and discovery. She studied English and Journalism at Loyola Marymount University and then earned her Master of Education from the University of Notre Dame. She now serves her community as a writer for a trade publication, an audio editor and transcriber for oral historians, and a social media manager for Slant’d, an independent publishing house uplifting Asian American voices. She is interested in the intersections of grief, memory, spirituality, racial identity development, community building, and art as activism.
